Constantin Petcou is a Paris-based architect and activist whose work stresses the intersection between architecture, urbanism, strategic design and semiotics. Constantin has co-founded with Doina Petrescu the atelier d’architecture autogérée (aaa), a professional organization which conducts actions and research on participatory urbanism and architecture ( aaa’s projects include Ecobox, and Passage 56, and more recently R-Urban (r-urban-net) a participative strategy of urban resilience in the Parisian Region and London and Wiki Village Factory, a cluster for social and ecological innovation in Paris. aaa's work has received numerous international prizes including BUILDING 4Humanity Design Competition, Innovation in Politics Awards, 100 Projects for the Climate, Zumtobel, Curry Stone and the European Public Space Prize.
